the story so far...

my experiences with God and life

it’s just a flesh wound

Ok, I’ve been a huge slacker the past week. I haven’t posted an update on what’s going on in a while and I know I was going to follow up last week with a post regarding a rebuttal to my post in my head, zombie…

Alot has been going on recently: job interview Thursday, King’s Island, reading one of the best manga’s ever (it’s called Beck, check it out!), hanging out with some pretty awesome friends, and getting closer to God. This is the first day I plan on staying home and relaxing since Thursday of last week.

And so, I apologize if any of you thought I happened to either fall of the face of the earth or die. I can assure you that neither happened.

Looking back on the past few days, I do see how much I need to not be idle in my daily life. I know that if I am allowed to be idle in any way, my flesh seems to want to take over. I’m reminded of a line from a specific show in Adult Swim:

“Idle hands spend time at the genitals, and you know how much God hates that.” -Ol’ Drippy

We all laugh and joke about how this is so funny, but in all honesty, this statement is very true. Even if the creators of the show were just joking around, the truth resounds from this quote and it is nothing to take lightly. We all know first hand what can happen if we allow ourselves to become idle.

I do promise that at some point I will write the other post regarding the brain, but that will not be tonight. I do need to reread my last post to make sure I am prepared for the upcoming post. I know I will be busy again this week and through this weekend. And that usually starts around Thursday, tho this week I will have a few hours of LOST to watch tomorrow.

Thank you Abba, for this day you have given us. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
