a quickie

I’m actually inside at work today during lunch because of the rain God is gracing us with right now. I don’t have a ton of time, but I did want to get something down that been on my heart.

Don’t give up, no matter what life throws at you. Giving up because of circumstances or because of a sin you’ve been stuggling with only benefits those that seek to do you harm. Falling away from God will not help at all.

We are human and we mess up all of the time. Why? We operate in fleshly vessels, vessels that are set to sin. Our whole lives have sin swirling around us and we do sin; even ones who are very close to God. Do not become discouraged if you sin. Ask for forgiveness, repent, and follow God.

This does not give us liberty to sin because we know that God forgives. That is not the point. God asks us to ask for forgiveness and repent or turn away from our sin. Just repeating the same sins thinking that all will be forgiven is a very dangerous way of thinking.

We should strive for perfection in this life and imitate God in all aspects, but He has the grace to understand as well that we also need His infinite forgiveness due to our humanity.
