the story so far...

with spring comes…

The past few days have been more than I think i could possibly handle in the span of a lifetime. But God does not put you into a situation you cannot handle. Specifics regarding the past few days do not matter; it is the result the drives me forward.

Spring in itself is a time of new life. Grass, trees, animals all come back to life and are buzzing with activity. The awaking of the world all around us plant seeds of life in our minds and in our hearts. This new life that just seems to burst with energy surrounds us and makes us try to make our own changes.

Coming back to what this all means, is that recently I had this seed planted in me, this seedling of spring. The situation that caused this small seed to bud and spout may have already passed, but, should I not let this plant to grow? Should I just cover it in the pesticide called cynicism and kill it now? No.

Though this seedling came from circumstances that also brought along much pain and suffering, it is a gift from God. A new beginning and a new period of growth in my life. It isn’t something that should be destoryed or tossed aside due to trival and base human emotions. I should allow it to germinate and grow and nuture it with the words and love of God.

So, with spring comes new life and new beginnings. And with every new beginning, there is always room for growth.
